The Electronic Shock Collar

This collar is one of the most well known ones. This collar functions by delivering a mild electric shock to the dog’s neck when the dog barks. After the first bark, the collar will give the dog another, more intense shock after 30 seconds if the dog continues to bark; this is because a dog’s skin is more resistant than a human’s and it might not have felt the first shock. If the dog continues to bark, this collar will deliver a slightly stronger shock that will grow in intensity at 30-second intervals between consecutive barks up to the collar’s highest level.

The Ultrasonic Collar

This collar works by emitting a sound that’s too high pitched for you to hear, but that it’s perfectly audible by dogs of all breeds. The benefit of using this collar is that it is designed to transmit a harmless ultrasonic whistle to distract a dog and control its barking.

By spending a bit on a dog bark collar, you’ll be contributing to the peace and quiet of the place you live in. The collar is not meant to eliminate your dog’s barking completely, as it’s a vital part of your dog’s life, but it will make your dog a much more likeable pet.
